Sheffield United’s 1-0 win against Arsenal on Monday night has once again heaped the pressure on Unai Emery. The Spaniard struggled to win over the Arsenal supporters in his first season at the club, with a fifth placed finish in the Premier League.
Arsenal did reach the Europa League final, but were beaten in Baku by an Eden Hazard-inspired Chelsea. The Gunners are fifth in the Premier League, with 15 points from nine games.
This is far from a disastrous start to the campaign, but the vultures are circling.

Perhaps the best options look to be Patrick Vieira or Freddie Ljungberg, right now. Vieira is doing reasonably well at Nice, whilst Ljungberg is also steadily moving up the ranks at Arsenal.
And, the former Swedish international midfielder has seen his profile improve steadily at Arsenal. This culminated in a booking last night from Mike Dean.
If Emery does go mid-season, Ljungberg would be an easy replacement from within.
