AC Milan has been dealt with a blow as the failure to meet Financial Fair Play regulations, in turn, they have been banned for a year from participating in European Competition.

The Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) took the decision after investigating Milan side summer transfer but the Rossaneri still have the right to appeal this decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

AC Milan invested 200 million euros in the 2017 summer transfer market, while they were presenting their case to the UEFA a voluntary economic plan, but the case was rejected by Club Financial Control Body (CFCB).

The financial body, CFCB decided to crosscheck and evaluate the case during the first months of this year and a Milan delegation went to the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on June 19 to present arguments in their defence.

The Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), ruled out their claims which they found out it’s not genuine enough, and they banned the seven times UEFA champions league winners from participating in next season’s Europa League which they qualified for.
