AC Milan confirmed last night their shock signing of Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci. The deal has been closed in just three days with the centre-back signing a five-year contract with the Rossoneri.
“AC Milan have reached an agreement with Juventus FC for the permanent transfer of Leonardo Bonucci, subject to medical completion," confirmed the statement.
“Should the player pass the medical examination in the next few days, he will join the Club, penning a five-year contract."
Juventus confirmed the fee is €42m, to be paid over three instalments. There are reports he will earn €8m per year wages plus €2m bonuses, making him comfortably the top-paid player in Serie A, surpassing Gonzalo Higuain's €7.5m net.
