All-action Griezmann is Europe's most used player in 2016/17

It's staggering to think that certain footballers claim to be overworked while Antoine Griezmann continues to run hard and score goals well into the latter stages of a marathon season.
A hectic 2015/16 campaign with Atletico Madrid ended in a long fought European Championship that only gave way to another epic of a season that has the Frenchman on 63 appearances.
Only five games were missed by Griezmann across 2016/17; LaLiga fixtures with Alaves and Osasuna, due to suspension and resting respectively, the Copa del Rey tie against Guijuelo, and the return leg of the cup quarter-final win over Eibar.
Overall, this tallies to 5,454 minutes of football according to CIES to far outstretch every other player in Europe's top five leagues, the next closest being Leicester City's January signing from Genk, Wilfred Ndidi, who played for 5,290 minutes across 61 games.
And it doesn't stop there for Griezmann, who now prepares to continue into June with the French national side as they face Paraguay, Sweden, and England.
As for the rest of the Atletico squad, Koke arrives in third place for the continent having reached 5,274 minutes across his showings for club and country.
