Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that while he would want Cristiano Ronaldo to rest, the player has never asked for rest himself. The 33-year-old Portuguese arrived at the bianconeri for a fee of 100 million euros and has impressed since arriving in the Serie A and has appeared in every single this season. Ronaldo has appeared 13 times in the league this season, scoring as many as nine times and racking up a tally of five assists.
In the press conference ahead of Juve's game against Fiorentina, Allegri was asked about Ronaldo's rest. He said: "De Sciglio and Cancelo can play left and right. Cuadrado played on the right the other day. Of the three is what I can use more even in the middle of the field. Cristiano never asked me to rest."
Also, the Italian manager believes that Paulo Dybala should not change the way he plays, despite the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid this past summer. Allegri was talking to the press ahead of tomorrow's game against Fiorentina and he revealed that Dybala should not change the way he plays because Juve have two forwards now.
Allegri said: "When you find the combination among the players, everything works. It's true that Dybala scores less but it's also true that he connects the midfielders with the attackers and pulls us out of difficult situations with the technique and the team it benefits from it.
"It's not that he has to change role. It is just that before we had only one forward, which was Higuain. Now we have two.
"And for the characteristics of these two players it is normal to want a connection. Paulo always plays the same way, only now we have one more forward and one less in the middle of the field. Then because of the characteristics of Ronaldo, sometimes we get to the conclusion in a different way."
