The arrival of Reeve Frosler in the Amajita camp has given coach Thabo Senong a shot in the arm as he tries to strengthen his last line of defence against Italy. Amajita take on Italy in a crucial group encounter on Wednesday (10h00 SA time). Senong today announced two changes to his team. He has strengthened the defence with the impressive Frosler and brought in the pace and skill of one of the much-talked about talents in South Africa, Liam Jordan. In the context of the game, a lot is expected from Frosler to provide quick solutions at the back – an area that has proved to be problematic for South Africa’s U-20 side both at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations and recently at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.  “We are prepared, we have planned very well and we have analysed Italy. The boys are fully aware of the possibilities they are going to face, possible formations and key players of Italy,” Senong said.

Frosler has been a regular feature in the Bidvest Wits team that recently won the Absa Premiership title. He is one of the emerging young talents that has caught many pundits' attention and a crucial piece of the development puzzle that South Africa has been trying to piece together. Another player who arrived late and is expected to make a meaningful contribution is Teboho Mokoena from SuperSport United. Frosler has been in South Korea for four days now, trained twice with the team and has earned himself a starting berth for tomorrow's game against Italy. However, Senong is mindful of not putting too much pressure on the new arrivals: “We don’t want to put Frosler and Mokoena under pressure. They have just arrived in the team and it is important that they are used correctly. We believe in their quality and what they bring to the team. They are assets and in the right time, we will be able to use them in the team."
