Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi debate on who is the best player between the pair has been going on for the past decade with Luka Modric putting a pause to the duo dominance this year has he won the UEFA player of the year award and also won the FIFA The Best award also.
Even with that most football fans still believes both players should have made it to the podium this year. Ahead of this weekend Italian Serie A fixture between Juventus and Carlo Ancelotti, the former Real Madrid manager dabbles into the debate of the two players as he reveals who should win the Ballon d’Or all the time.
In the pre-match conference, Ancelotti also talked about their chances in the game against the league leaders. He admits that the Bianconeri are superior to them but feel a win for them will boost their confidence ahead of the full season performance.
“We can’t get more than three points, but we are aware that a win would give us a lot of self-confidence. We want to be competitive until the end of the season and these games are important to understanding what level we are right now. We want to limit them and play our football. I don’t care about predictions and I wouldn’t sign for a draw.”
Ancelotti was also particular about the brilliance of Juventus coach Maxi Allegri who have gone on to win all the league titles since his arrival at the Turin club.
“There are no more secrets in football. Allegri is a great manager, a practical one. I am on very good terms with him. It’s going to be Juve-Napoli not Ronaldo vs. Insigne. Whoever plays a better football will win.”
“I am grateful to Ronaldo, regardless of the goals he scored to win the Champions League. I am happy that he plays in Italy now, he is an added value to every team, I think he should win the Ballon d’Or all the times.”
