Veteran Bianconeri midfielder, Claudio Marchisio has officially ended his contract with the club on a mutual agreement after spending 25 years at the Old Ladys.
The midfielder has been in the club since childhood and he made his professional debut for Juventus in a Serie B game in 2006 after the club were relegated because of the Calciopoli corruption scandal.
Marchisio took to his official Twitter @ClaMarchisio8 said, “I cannot stop looking at this photograph and these stripes on which I wrote my life as a man and a footballer.
”I love this shirt to the point that, despite everything, I am convinced that the good of the team comes first. Always..”
Juventus on the other hand wrote: “Twenty-five years have passed since Claudio put on the black and white shirt for the very first time. He was aged just seven with a mad desire to play for his hometown club and a head full of dreams.
“His dream back then, as he has so often retold, was to wear the very same shirt in front of thousands of fans, fighting for the most coveted trophies that the beautiful game has to offer.”
“Having had the opportunity to accompany him on this path, to discover a homegrown champion, day by day, was quite simply a privilege and an honour,” Juventus said in a statement on their website.
The Italian international made a total number of 20 appearances last season which took him to 389 appearances for the Bianconeri, scoring 37 goals and winning seven league titles and four Coppas Italia.
