Arsenal plans to frustrate Manchester City in the first game of the season revealed

Arsenal were defeated by defending champions Manchester City in their first game of the season at the Emirates stadium, but Unai Emery’s plans to frustrate the Cityzens in order to favour his own Arsenal side has been revealed by City's head groundsman Lee Jackson.
In a statement released to the Daily Mirror, Jackson revealed that Emery warned his own ground staff not to water the pitch that day, despite August 12 being particularly hot in London.
The situation was noticed by him upon inspecting the grass and he told Guardiola about the conditions for the game which City ultimately won 2-0.
"After 20 years with the same coach, they didn't water the pitch before a game or at half-time and that is very unusual," Jackson said. "It didn't do them any good in the end."
Jackson also praised City's coach for the obsession he has with all aspects of the game, while also acknowledging that Arsenal's turf isn't the worst he has came across in the Premier League.
"Pep's attention to detail is phenomenal, it is something I've never experienced before," he added.
"Most coaches now want the grass to be wet and short because the ball travels faster but I remember when Tony Pulis was at Stoke City.
"You couldn't even see your feet on the grass when you walked, that's how long it was!"
