Arsene Wenger has announced his squad to travel to America for their pre-season tour, with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil given extra time to rest
Arsenal have announced their squad to face the MLS All-Stars on Thursday July 28 at Avaya Stadium in San Jose.
German-born American Under-23 star Gedion Zelalem, who spent last season on loan at Rangers, will travel with the Gunners. Many of Arsene Wenger's big names will join Zelalem, such as Petr Cech, Santi Cazorla, Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, and new signing Granit Xhaka.
Among the players missing are Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud. Sanchez is coming off a Copa America win with Chile, while the other two recently competed in Euro 2016. Arsenal will take on the MLS All-Stars on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET. Two days later, the Gunners will face Chivas de Guadalajara at the StubHub Center in Carson.
