Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger might not be available for their home game in the Premier League against Stoke City due to illness. The Frenchman’s illness was confirmed on the club's verified Twitter handle.
According to the statement released on the club's website after Wenger failed to turn up for Thursday’s pre-match press conference. It was reported that the Gunners Manager lost his voice and his assistant Steve Bould stepped in to carryout the press conference.
“The boss is ill this morning, so it’s Steve Bould covering for him,” the club wrote on their Twitter handle.
Arsenal are currently sixth on 48 points in the Premier League table. The 68-year old has been in charge at Arsenal since 1996 and is currently the Premier League’s longest serving manager.
