Barcelona have announced that Ousmane Dembele will be out of action for around two weeks after suffering a sprained ankle in the 3-1 win over Leganes. The Frenchman opened the scoring for the Catalans and was one of the star performers on Sunday night at the Camp Nou until he twisted his ankle awkwardly during the second half.
Ernesto Valverde will be without the winger for the Copa del Rey quarterfinal matches against Sevilla and the league game at Girona, while he is also a doubt for the home clash with Valencia the following week. The injury will require Philippe Coutinho to break out of his current slump to fill the void of the in-form youngster, while Malcom could also be an option.
Dembele joins Rafinha Alcantara and Samuel Umtiti on the sidelines.
