There are a number of candidates to purchase the naming rights of the Camp Nou, which is to be redeveloped over the next couple of years. Pharmaceutical company Grifols, which is based in Catalonia and which is a part of the Ibex 35, is reportedly in pole position to put its name to the stadium.
According to RAC1, they lead the list of candidates for a deal that could be finalised before the end of 2018. The sponsorship of the stadium is expected to last 20 years and would bring significant income into Barcelona's accounts.
At this points, the exact numbers of a deal haven't come out. However, Jaume Roures of Mediapro said in October that the company offered 300 million euros, although club spokesperson Josep Vives denied that.
