Injuries have stunted Lionel Messi's early season form, first with a pain in his hip/pelvis, and then with a groin injury that will see him sidelined for the next three Barcelona fixtures, a mismanagement of the star's minutes according to national team coach Edgardo Bauza.
The Albiceleste might also be without their talisman for the next two matches as the Barcelona No. 10 recovers, which has frustrated Bauza who will also most likely be forced to compete without his main man.
"Barcelona ask us [Argentina] to take good care of him, but truth be told, it's not like they care for him much," Bauza said critically to Fox Sports. "I was surprised with the inflammation he had that Barcelona played him as much as they did."
Not entirely trusting of the Catalan club's diagnosis, Bauza wants to speak to Messi personally to understand first hand the extent of Messi's injury.
Barcelona's medical staff officially reported that it is a broken right groin adductor, which will see him sidelined for three weeks, though Bauza has for now refused to discard him just yet.
"Once we determine the extent of the injury, we'll see how long his recovery should last and thus act accordingly."
