After an excellent first leg performance vs. Atletico already under his belt, Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz will miss Wednesday night's return leg at the Estadio Vicente Calderon because he is busy with exams.
The 17-year-old is still in school and his priorities are clear for the time being.
"Havertz has exams that couldn't be rescheduled," new coach Tayfun Korkut said in his pre-match press conference.
Lars Bender, Stefan Kiessling, Omer Toprak, Jonathan Tah and Benjamin Hendrichs will also miss out.
