Dimitar Berbatov’s return to Old Trafford has been confirmed after photos emerged of the Bulgarian with Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney at the club’s training ground on Thursday. The 35-year-old is currently a free agent and is keen to build-up his fitness in search of a new club. The Bulgarian spent four years at the Theatre of Dreams and was keen to return to the north-west to learn about Mourinho’s training methods as he eyes a future in coaching.

Berbatov was a popular figure with the Old Trafford crowd and he was seen posing with old striker partner Rooney at the club’s Aon training complex.
