One of the key players in Cardiff will surely be Gianluigi Buffon who will play in his third Champions League final, and it may be his first victory.

The goalkeeper was key as Juventus' impregnable defence went 690 minutes unbeaten, before Kylian Mbappe struck in the 68th minute of the semi-final second leg.

Despite this, Buffon couldn't hide his delight at reaching another final.

"I am very happy," the Juventus captain smiled. "If I didn't play in such a great team with such great players, then this wouldn't be possible.

"Two years ago everyone assumed it was my last Champions League final," he said, talking of the 3-1 defeat at the hands of Barcelona, "and I thought that too, but you have to keep believing in your dreams.

"We have managed to get to Cardiff, I can't say it was our objective. Reaching a final is nothing, we want to win it."
