Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher was as asked to pick his favourite team to win the Premier League, but gave a shocking reply as he named Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City as the favourites club that can win this season’s Premier League title. Carragher stated this following City’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the Premier League encounter on Thursday night at Etihad. The ex-defender believes Guardiola’s side are the “best team” in the Premier League.
“Looking at it now – four points difference between Liverpool and Man City. I think we’ve probably said since the start of the season that City are the best team in this league,” Carragher told Sky Sports. “I think the Premier League title is maybe 50/50, maybe slightly in City’s favourites, they will fancy their chances.”
Manchester City will tackle Wolves in their next Premier League fixture on Monday, while Liverpool will face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday. City are currently 4 points behind league leaders, Liverpool on the table.
