Victory over Sevilla was doubly sweet for Casemiro as, not only did Real Madrid edge a step closer to the title, but the Brazilian made his 100th appearance for the club.
Goals from Nacho and Toni Kroos as well as a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo kept Los Blancos on course for the trophy and gave Casemiro more than one reason to celebrate.
"I'm so happy," he said.
"It's a dream for me to reach 100 games and I hope to play many more.
"When you're a young boy, you could never imagine reaching this amount for this great club.
"I want to carry on working hard and enjoying every day to play as many games as possible.
"To wear the Real Madrid shirt is a dream and I can't pick a favourite game as they are all so important.
"From the first until Sevilla, when I reached the century, they have all been important for me."
