That outing saw the World-cup winning goalkeeper feature in his 175th match on the continental stage, one match more than the legendary Italian defender.
The shot-stopper made his debut in the Champions League as an 18-year-old back in 1999 and has cemented his position as one of the best goalkeepers of all time in the 17 years since.
He currently has 163 Champions League appearances to his name and has also played twice in the Europa League as well as three matches in the UEFA Super Cup.
Casillas has won a total of five pieces of silverware including three Champions Leagues and two Super Cup titles.
