Ceferin: UEFA has no plans to use VAR

2 weeks from now  Raphael   Sport News

The advent of Video Assistant Referees (VAR) is not one interesting UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin while it remains far from a complete system.
FIFA have deployed the technology in the current Club World Cup but a number of incidents, incorrect decisions, and stoppages in play have drawn a negative response from fans and players.
"For me and UEFA, it's just an experiment at the moment," Ceferin said at a Euro 2020 event in Bilbao.
"It's not very clear and we don't know when we'll use it. Let's see what happens in the future, but it's not in our plans to use it."
In the Basque Country to unveil the city's emblem for hosting three group games and a knockout tie on Euro 2020, Ceferin remarked that he had no specific security concerns for the Spanish city.
"We are always concerned about security," the Slovenian said. "Security in Europe is improving everyday, but we're working on it."
