A sensational first-half strike from Eden Hazard was enough to hand Real Madrid a 1-0 victory over Red Bull Salzburg in pre-season action on Wednesday night at the Red Bull Arena in Austria.
Hazard enjoyed his best performance in a Real Madrid shirt to date, capped by his right-footed rocket, but the sleepy second half put forth by Los Blancos will not have exactly pleased manager Zinedine Zidane.
After the match the Belgium international is happy to score his first goal and can't wait for the La liga to start.
“I am happy. It is friendly and it is preseason but it always gives confidence to win and to be able to score. “It is still preseason but we are getting better every time. We have to concentrate and keep working. the former Chelsea player said.
"We are working, we are training. We want to start the League now. It will be fine."
