Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea and Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.
Chelsea and Liverpool are eyeing move for Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media.
Nicolo Barella has joined Cagliari from Cagliari U19 in 2014. The 20 year-old has a valid contract with Cagliari until the June 2021.
The Italy international has provided two assists in 34 games for Cagliari, including one assist in 25 games in all competition this season.
Barella has also represented Italy at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level, winning 43 caps across all age groups.
The 20-year-old is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in Italy.
The Italy international has been in fine form for Cagliari this season.
Nicolo Barella has been target of Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp as the managers look to bolster their midfield options for the next season.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Chelsea and Liverpool aren’t the only ones who are reportedly interested in the 20-year-old. Roma, Juventus and AC Milan are also thought to be tracking him in the last period.
