The new transfer rule in the English Premier League (EPL) which is the law that forbids all clubs in England to sign a player 48 hours before the start of the new campaign. This rule is set to have an impact of Eden Hazard’s possible move to Real Madrid from Chelsea.
The rule only affect Premier League clubs bringing in players but other European clubs can sign players from Premier League clubs during that period, and Chelsea are aware of the fact that Real Madrid can still sign even when they are unable to replace the Belgian forward at the Bridge.
Eden Hazard appears keen to force his departure from recent comments made in the Belgium media and put in a transfer request. It is believed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has place a 220 million euro on the player even though the Los Blancos are not ready to cough up that much.
The club are aware that he is now more in demand after a strong World Cup but at the same time he has just two years left on his contract and is unlikely to sign a new deal.
