Chelsea take another decision on Callum Hudson-Odoi possible transfer to Bayern Munich

9 months ago  Raphael   Sport News

According to DailyStar, Chelsea have rejected Callum Hudson-Odoi's recent transfer request amid interest from Bayern Munich. The Chelsea starlet has been heavily linked with a £40m move to the Bundesliga champions this term. However, the Blues continue to spurn Bayern's advances, so far rejecting a number of big-money offers for the 18-year-old. Over the weekend, Hudson-Odoi reportedly told Chelsea chiefs he wanted to leave the club for Bayern this month.
But according to German outlet Bild, those in charge of transfers at Stamford Bridge have rejected the player's request to leave, telling him a January move is out of the question. Bild's official Bayern Munich account tonight tweeted: "@ChelseaFC replied to the transfer request of #Hudson-Odoi: No winter change! Summer possible though. #FCBayern @BILD_Sport."
Chelsea Sporting Director, Marina Granovskaia is in charge of transfers at the club, rather than manager Maurizio Sarri, who has been reluctant to play Hudson-Odoi at times this season. The attacker scored in a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday. But after his stellar performance, pundits watching the game felt Hudson-Odoi had made his last appearance for the club.
"I think he's gone, in his head," Danny Murphy told the BBC. "Now, what we don't know is, no matter what bid they make, Chelsea have the right to say no because he's under contract with them. "But I think it sounds like and from everything we're hearing, that in his head, he's already wearing red."
Speaking on the pitch at full-time, Hudson-Odoi was asked about his future, responding: "I don't know, I can't say. "I'll keep working hard and you never know what will happen. "I thought we did very well. It was a great team performance. "We did very well in training and worked really hard. "That's one of my highlights. It was nice to top it off with a goal."
The transfer window closes on Thursday and it is likely that Bayern will return with another offer in the coming days. Hudson-Odoi has predominantly featured in cup matches under Maurizio Sarri and could once again push for a move in order to receive first-team football on a regular basis.
