Despite failing to find the back of the net in his past 1,085 minutes of Bayer Leverkusen action, Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez is not letting his poor run of form affect his confidence and he is not ashamed of his recent misfiring.
Since he scored in a home win over Borussia Dortmund on October 1, 10 Bundesliga matches, four Champions League matches and one German Cup match have all passed by without a goal for the Mexican.
"I'm not embarrassed to say that it is a poor run of form, because that is what it is," the upbeat 28-year-old said in an interview with ESPN.
"I'm learning a lot as a result of it."
The former Real Madrid striker believes that the goals will come back as it's natural for a forward to go through variations in form.
"I know that the goals will come sooner or later," he said.
"There are some days when you can even score with your eyes closed, as sport is like that."
The player is currently with Atletico Madrid's Champions League last 16 opponents in Florida, USA, where they'll play a match against Atletico Mineiro before returning to Germany for the second half of the Bundesliga season.
