With his pass for Karim Benzema's opening goal on Saturday afternoon, Cristiano Ronaldo reached double digits in terms of goals and assists this season, the first player within the Real Madrid squad to do so in both categories.
That makes it 26 goals and 10 assists for the Portuguese star in all competitions thus far this year, a feat only Barcelona's famed MSN trio and Atleti's Antoine Griezmann can boast of in LaLiga.
This is nothing new for the Real No. 7, as he has achieved the 'double double' in seven of his eight years at Los Blancos.
Only in 2009/10 did he fail to reach similar heights, notching only seven assists that year with his 33 goals.
In fact since 2008, just seven footballers have been able to reach at least 10 goals and assists in the same year: Karim Benzema on four occasions, Gareth Bale on three, Mesut Ozil on two, and James Rodriguez, Angel di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain on one.
