Del Piero reveals one way to stop Ronaldo's Juventus

1 month ago  Raphael   Sport News

Juventus and Italy Legend Alessandro Del Piero is clearly excited for the campaign of his former club Juventus who has 10 wins out of 10 games.
The World Cup winner with Italy was asked in an interview if there is a way to beat the Bianconeri this season with the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo who have made them stronger who replied: “Juve are built to win the Champions League. That’s why they signed Ronaldo. They need to go the extra mile and do the final step.”
“There is always a way to beat them, and I say that for the opponents. Maybe more bravery is needed when there is a one vs. one. Udinese didn’t do it frequently on Saturday and although Juventus players are very strong singularly and as a team, sometimes they need to be attacked. Opponents need a player who says ‘hey, we can create troubles too’. Fofana did it sometimes on Saturday but not consistently enough.”
“However, it’s very complicated to beat Juventus, when Juventus go ahead it’s hard to catch them.”
In the beginning of the season the Juventus legend, Alessandro Del Piero joined the group of former players to warn forward, Cristiano Ronaldo saying that he must find a way to beat Serie A’s defence after a poor start in the Italian topflight league. Ronaldo left Madrid as their all-time highest goalscorer to join the Italian giants earlier this summer in a 100-million-euro deal.
The 33-year-old failed to find the back of the net in the first three appearances of the Serie A campaign.
The Portuguese captain missed chances to score against Chievo, Lazio and Parma and didn't managed to get off the mark for some games despite playing all minutes in each match.
Del Piero, who scored 290 goals in 705 appearances for Juve, insisted that Ronaldo must adapt to his new surroundings.
“In Italy we defend looking for the numerical superiority and it is complicated for a striker, Cristiano must know his new championship,” Del Piero told Sky Italia.  “Juve can be very happy: they have won all the games without Ronaldo’s goals or those of Dybala.
It took him four games – or 320 minutes – to finally find the back of the net as he struck twice in a 2-1 win over Sassuolo after drawing blanks against Chievo, Lazio and Parma.
“I really wanted to score these first goals and I’m happy to have found the net,” a relieved Ronaldo told Mediaset after opening his account .
“This is football. The important thing is that the team wins. Obviously, I was a little tense with all the talk of Real Madrid and not scoring, but I thank my team-mates for supporting me throughout. I knew that I was working well and it was only a matter of time. I am adapting well to Italian football.”
Ronaldo’s Champions League debut for Juventus against Valencia went poorly with a red card dismissal which left the star distraught , though he bounced back with the winner late against Frosinone the following weekend.
