Former Real Madrid keeper Diego Lopez brushed off accusations that Espanyol always make life easier for Real than Barcelona, and the shot stopper believes his side are capable of putting in a perfect performance to force the Blaugrana to drop points.
Barcelona's home form hasn't been as impenetrable as in recent seasons, and Lopez is hopeful in the Pericos' chances in Sunday's clash.
"Espanyol are excited to play at the Camp Nou," he said. "It is always a difficult match and we know that everyone pays more attention when you face the two big teams, so we'll have to be perfect.
"Looking beyond the result, we have to make sure that the team dynamic we've created these past few weeks continues no matter what."
The Spanish keeper has nothing but fond memories of his old club, and will be looking to do them a favour as they are away at the Club World Cup in Japan.
"I've always felt and continue to feel a lot of kindness from Madridistas," he concluded.
