Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid face each other this weekend in the Laliga Santander at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Atletico Madrid have not lost at the Bernabeu for the past five seasons and will be working to extend the record on Saturday.
The Rojiblancos boss, Diego Simeone revealed in the pre-match conference the player he knows will deliver for him in the game as he has always done.
He also said Real Madrid last game against Sevilla on Wednesday will not judge their performance against his side.
"I look beyond the last game when I look at Madrid. They didn't have a good match in the first half but that can happen against Sevilla because they are a great team," he told reporters.
"They have a way of playing which isn't easy to compete against and take confidence from their system.
"I believe that Madrid have shown up until now that they are a direct team with [Marco] Asensio and [Gareth] Bale.
"Those are players with a great turn of pace, can move it well and quickly in an attack, with a good view of the game further up than [Toni] Kroos, [Luka] Modric or [Sergio] Ramos, who can assist them.
"But I don't evaluate an opponent based on the last game that they played. "I value them for their characteristics and potential. We know we're going to face one of the best teams in the world."
If he isn't taking confidence from Real's recent struggles, Simeone also isn't taking any from his side's five-match unbeaten run at the Bernabeu in LaLiga Santander or their European Super Cup win over Los Blancos in August.
"I don't stop to analyse what has happened before because, in football, we must live for today," he explained. "On Saturday, we have a new game that is completely different from the ones we have already played.
"I don't think you can take any kind of reference from a game like [the Super Cup] it is totally different because it is a final."
The Argentine also had some special praise for Diego Costa and is backing him to produce another big Bernabeu performance.
"I see him being in fantastic form and for me, in the first half the other day, above all else, he played very well," he added. "He participated in the team's first goal with an assist and was always continuously moving and causing problems. "Physically, he is strong and against Madrid, he will surely have a great game."
