A controversial post on social media during Manchester United's victory over Tottenham Hotspur, has led the English Football Association (FA) to apologise to both teams.
The aforementioned tweet mentioned the Red Devils' defender Chris Smalling, asking him what does he have in his pocket.
A photo of the player followed with the response "Harry Kane", and the post received thousands of likes and retweets, before being removed.
Subsequently, the FA has informed the British media that both teams have been issued a written apology. The semi-final between the two teams took place on Saturday at Wembley, as Jose Mourinho's side defeated the Spurs 2-1.
