Manchester City wins Community Shield as Pep Guardiola makes it two trophies in English football. Manchester City side defeated Chelsea to win the first silverware in England. The Community Shield serve as the curtain raiser in England as the league will start on Friday.

Sergio Aguero scored both goals as the Cityzens took home the shield from Wembley, his first goal in the game was his 200th goal in the blue shirt his well-taken effort from outside the box gave Willy Caballero no chance after coming through the legs of Toni Rudiger.

He scored the second goal after receiving a spectacular pass from Portuguese international Bernado Silva, allowing him to slot beyond his compatriot Caballero for the second time.

The English Premier League officially starts on Friday but the Cityzens begin their title defence against Arsenal on Sunday.
