Chelsea will begin their Europa league campaign against Greek side PAOK on Thursday. Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has come out to say one of his star player this season I likely to miss out on the trip to Greece this week.
Their top performers this season had been Eden Hazard and the rejuvenated Pedro and the Italian manage has insisted that one of the pair will be rested for the clash aagainst PAOK.
Maurizio Sarri also said that Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is nursing an injury at present, faces a race against time to be fit for the clash.
“Loftus-Cheek has a little problem with his right tibia so on Saturday he wasn’t able to play,” Sarri told Chelsea’s official website on Monday. “I hope he can recover in the next two or three days and maybe there is an opportunity that I can give him a chance.
“I don’t know now because I want to have a very clear picture of the situation, who are the players who need to rest or not.
“I don’t know about Hazard. “I want to speak with him and I want to speak to the doctor and then I will decide. “Of course either Hazard or Pedro will rest on Thursday.”
