There was an alert at Real Madrid's Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Friday afternoon after a suspicious package was found, though it was later confirmed to be a false alarm.
The situation as at 21.30 CET is already completely under control. In the middle of the afternoon, forensic agents specialising in chemicals came to the stadium to study a suspicious envelope addressed to Florentino Perez from Italy. When the package was opened, white powder fell out, activating the emergency protocol for biological alerts. In addition to the forensic agents, Police and the fire brigade were sent to the stadium and they evacuated restaurants that faced Padre Damian Street. Whilst the situation is under control, the agents are still continuing to work in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. Experts have taken a sample of the white powder for analysis and the results will be known within three days. It's not the first time that something similar has occured in the Bernabeu, employees of the club recognising that they already had two cases similar to the one on Friday afternoon.
