Turkish top flight club Fenerbahce are planning to offload former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike to English Premier League strugglers Sunderland in the January transfer window, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik. Fenerbahce want to sign Jeremain Lens (on loan from Sunderland) on a permanent deal or extend his loan deal by another season and want to include Emenike as part of the bargain to Sunderland, Fanatik claims. Emenike has scored seven times and provided four assists in 20 games for Fenerbahce this season. But he is behind the pecking order with Robin van Persie and Moussa Sow ahead of him.
Former Super Eagles striker Emenike featured for West Ham on loan last season. The 28-year-old has also played for Spartak Moscow in the Russian top flight.
