Following the split between FIFA and France Football, football's governing body has unveiled their brand new trophy entitled 'The Best' award with the award itself striking a resemblance to the World Cup.
The first ever winner of the gong will be one of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann with the announcement to be made at an event in Zurich on January 9.
Ana Barbic Katicic is the Croatian artist who designed the trophy and she made clear the reasoning behind the choice of design.
"What inspired the design is the idea of honouring the best players in the world for FIFA," she explained.
