FIFA have announced a 10-man shortlist for the 2016 Puskas Award for best goal of the year. The prize rules state that only goals scored between September 30 2015 and September 30 2016 can compete for the award.
Mario Gaspar - SPAIN v England
Gaspar showed great athleticism to simultaneously spin and volley from the edge of Joe Hart's penalty area, an effort sending the ball looping up and over the helpless goalkeeper.
Hlompho Kekana - Cameroon v SOUTH AFRICA
Kekana found the net from 10 yards inside his own half, a goal that would prove decisive to securing a draw in this Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture.
Marlone - CORINTHIANS v Cobresal
A stunning Marlone scissor-kick helped Corinthians beat Cobresal 6-0 in the Copa Libertadores in April this year.
Lionel Messi - ARGENTINA v United States
Messi bends a trademark free kick past Tim Howard to help his side to a 4-0 victory in the Copa America. Additionally, the goal propelled his name to the top of Argentina's all-time goal scorer list.
Neymar - BARCELONA v Villarreal
A moment of magic came from Neymar during Barcelona's league tie against Villarreal in November 2015. How else to describe this?
Saul Niguez - ATLETICO MADRID v Bayern Munich
Slaloming through the Bayern defence during a Champions League semi-final, Saul scored one of the most important goals of his career, and also one of his most eye-catching.
Hal Robson-Kanu - WALES v Belgium
This goal would help Wales on their way to a famous European Championship quarter-final victory against Belgium. It may also be noted that Hal Robson-Kanu was, at the time, without a club.
Daniuska Rodriguez - VENEZUELA WOMENS' U17 v Colombia Womens' U17
Rodriguez slams home from close range after teasing two Colombian defenders on the edge of the box.
Simon Skrabb - Gefle v ATVIDABERG
Backheeled goals do not get much better than this; the audacious effort from a low driven cross finds the right top corner of the net.
Mohd Faiz Subri - PENANG v Pahang
Roberto Carlos eat your heart out.
