Liverpool will welcome back their prodigal son this Saturday when Steven Gerrard returns for a legends charity match against Real Madrid.
The clash, which kicks off at 16:00 CET on RMTV, will be a reunion for Steve McManaman, Michael Owen and Jerzy Dudek, who all played for the Spanish giants. Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo and Emilio Butragueno are due to play for Los Blancos.
"It is always a special occasion to return to Anfield," said McManaman. "Especially with the likes of Clarence Seedorf, Roberto Carlos, and Figo."
It will not be the first time the Englishman has faced his former teammates in a charity event, two seasons ago at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu he partook in a match which saw Real Madrid beat Liverpool 4-2.
"Two years ago at the Santiago Bernabeu we raised funds for the Real Madrid Foundation," he added."This time it's for the Liverpool Football Club Foundation, and the more we raise the better as they do a great job."
