Filipe Luis' first goal seals Atleti win

1 month ago  Raphael   Sport News

With a finish that a Brazilian number nine would have been proud of, Filipe Luis netted his first strike of the season to seal the points for Atletico Madrid at Malaga.
So often the man to tee up others, he switched roles, with Fernando Torres providing the assist fifteen minutes from time for the full-back to fire home past Carlos Kameni.
It's only the seventh time the Brazilian has found the net for Atletico, with all barring a strike against Real Sociedad in 2010/11 coming during the Diego Simeone era, and he becomes the Rojiblancos 14th different scorer this season.
They won in each of the games where he's been amongst the goals, the team scoring at least two on each occasion.
Goalkeepers aside, only Alessio Cerci, Stefan Savic, Lucas Hernandez, Thomas Partey and Augusto Fernandez have yet to get on the scoresheet.
