Question marks about Lionel Messi's future have led to questions put to Pep Guardiola in recent weeks, but on Friday the former Barcelona coach was in no mood to reiterate comments he has already made.
Guardiola has said before that he sees Messi seeing out his career with the Blaugrana, but he had no further comment on the matter when asked about the Argentine's future in a press conference ahead of Manchester City's trip to Everton on Sunday.
"I've already answered that question three times this season," replied the City coach.
The Citizens travel to Goodison Park with a few injuries, and the 45-year-old provided a fitness update.
"Fernando is still not ready," said the former Bayern Munich coach. "Kevin De Bruyne was ill but has now recovered. Vincent Kompany has trained for the last three days so he is back. We still need to remove Ilkay Gundogan from the Champions League squad and replace him."
Kompany's return will be a big boost for Guardiola who's side has struggled at the back throughout the Premier League season.
"I hope we can have a long period of time without him getting hurt," said the Spaniard.
"He has a strong mentality and we all know how good he can be when he's at his best. I'd like for him not to put to much pressure himself at first."
With Kompany in contention to start, Guardiola was careful not to reveal information into how his side might line up on Sunday.
"Whether we go with a back three or four depends on what's best for the stability of the team," said the Catalan.
"I try to think about our qualities and the qualities of our rival."
Everton are yet to impress in the Premier League but Guardiola is not underestimating them as opponents.
"If you give them time and space they can play," he said. "They can also play direct with Romelu Lukaku, and Ronald Koeman has adapted well to the Premier League."
