Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, Kai Havertz, has reportedly decided to leave the club this summer transfer window amid interest from Chelsea.
According to The Guardian, a move to Chelsea ‘appeals’ to Havertz, with the Blues’ leading the race’ to sign the 21-year-old this summer.
Havertz does not want to stay at Bayer Leverkusen for another season and is keen to join the Premier League giants.
Chelsea have already signed RB Leipzig forward, Timo Werner and Ajax’s attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech.
The West London club is keen o strengthen even more and have positioned themselves in the race for Havertz.
Leverkusen have initially demanded over €100 million (£89.5m) for Havertz, while Chelsea is £20m apart in their valuation of the player.
