In recent comment by Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, he tipped his star man Eden Hazard to score 40 goals this season a feat the Belgian has not achieved before in his football professional career.
He was asked if Hazard can win the Golden Boot, Sarri said: “I think so. We have spoken and I told him he can score 40 goals. He has to improve some things, but he can do it.”
When pressed on whether Hazard agreed with him, Sarri said: “If you have seen Saturday’s match, then I think so.”
Hazard has been in a spectacular form since the start of the season which has seen him scored five goals in the current campaign the goals coming from a match winning hattrick against Welsh side Cardiff City on Saturday.
England Legend Stuart Pearce believes Eden Hazard is a player who is capable of getting 40 goals a season but not with Chelsea.
The former England National team captain believes the Belgium National team captain will only achieve that in the Premier league with Chelsea rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.
 “I’m not sure Chelsea will dominate the league enough to create enough chances for Hazard to get 40 goals, because of Liverpool and Manchester City,” said Pearce.
“Put him in the Liverpool and Manchester City team at this moment in time and I think he might be able to.
 “I would have thought other clubs might have put money down to take Hazard away from them – he’s the one player that gives Chelsea potential championship [winning] ability.
 “He’s got so much ability, and works hard for the team as well, when you throw that in the mix, he’s one of these that you need to keep educating, keep testing him in regards to whether you can improve him, but also make sure you tell him how well he is doing.”
