There is a bit of bad news for Barcelona fans concerning their club icon Lionel Messi, as the Argentine forward has stopped negotiation with the club as reports have it that he doesn't want to renew with the club when his contract expires in 2021.
According to reports in Cadena Ser, Messi's father Jorge who also doubles as his agent was initially negotiating with Barcelona over a new contract but all that has been called off by the 33 years old forward.
ESPN sources also confirmed that the Barcelona captain is not happy with the Catalans for related events at the club which has been linked to him for being responsible for it, such as Ernesto Valverde's sacking, choosing players for the club the sign and he is not happy with the current squad as he believed they lacked quality.
Recalled in a recent interview the Argentine lamented about the team's play as he believed they can't win the Champions League or any trophy if they keep playing like this, a suggestion that Quique Setien disagreed with.
