Real Sociedad must overturn a 1-0 deficit when they take on Barcelona in their Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg on Thursday, but Inigo Martinez insists that his team is not put off by the difficulty of the task.
Pointing to La Real's impressive first half of the LaLiga season, the centre-back trusts in the quality of the teammates and is targeting a historic comeback.
"In the first leg, the team was alive in the game until the very end and for that reason we remain confident in what we're doing," he said ahead of the trip to Catalonia.
"We know that it's very hard to win at the Camp Nou, but the team believes and we intend to win and qualify.
"They have an advantage and are one of the best teams in the world, but we do not consider this tie over."
Equally, the 25-year-old does not believe Barcelona will have assumed their pace in the semi-finals is secure.
"We know they have more respect for us, because in the past few years we have been fighting hard against them in the matches at Anoeta," he told reporters.
"We have had an excellent first half of the season and sit high in LaLiga and we're battling for the cup."
Reflecting on what the team from San Sebastian will need in order to cancel out Neymar's first leg penalty, Martinez explained that a mix of quality and good fortune would do the job.
"We have a great squad, we are in great form and in any one move we could score a goal and level the tie," he said.
"We will have to play our game and have a little luck, because you need some luck in these situations.
"It will be a tough and an intense match because we both want to progress."
The clash at the Camp Nou kicks off at 21:15 CET on Thursday evening.
