After being sidelined to a part-time role during the beginning of the season, Isco has been on a roll in recent weeks right when it all matters most, and the player himself has stated that his contract renewal is close to being finalised.
Coach Zinedine Zidane has always insisted he wants the Malagueno to stay, but not until he started giving the midfielder more minutes has the playmaker truly believed he had his coach's backing.
"We are close," Isco said to international press after starting and playing against Bayern Munich.
"I've always said I want to continue being here for many years to come."
