Jose Mourinho has voiced out his doubt on the chances of his team in the next season title challenge from day one, as most of his key players haven’t resume for preseason.
The former Chelsea boss refuses to answer question about his team's potential to challenge their rivals next season while on preseason tour in North America.
"If you look to the players Chelsea and Liverpool have in pre-season, especially these two teams, also Arsenal, I think if you compare you see the difference of the situation," he told reporters.
"Manchester City and Tottenham are in the similar situation as we are
"I am happy with the evolution of the [tour] matches, but I don't have the players to work [with].
"I don't have the majority of the players that are going to be in the squad on August 9 when the market closes and we can make it official for the season. So of course I'm not happy, to have just a few players."
Transfer window in England is expected to come to a close on the 9th of August and Mourinho confirms that he will bring in new faces.
"One thing is what I would like, and another thing is what is going to happen," he noted to ESPN.
"I would get two more players."
