Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp backed his left footed Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah to pick up the EPL player of the year ahead of Manchester City sensation attacking midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.
Klopp has turned the former AS roma winger into a global superstar and a goal getter this season, even though his choice of picking Mo' is naturllly biased but he was still right in some cases.
“Look, I think Mo would deserve it 100%. As his manager, I'd say 'come on, prove it by playing at this level for the rest of the season'," he said.
“But both players have played an outstanding season with obvious highlights. Scoring goals, creating chances, which is what everyone wants to see.
“Yes, Mo would deserve it. But if I said now that Kevin De Bruyne should have no chance I'd be lying. He's a fantastic player and City will be champions so he already has a trophy. Maybe we can at least win the other one!"
The Liverpool man has scored 29 goals and assisted another 10 in EPL, which makes it 39 goals in total that he is involved in.
