Jurgen Klopp: Marcelo can't defend and he attacks a lot

1 month from now  Raphael   Sport News

Klopp was in an interview with Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler and he was talking ahead of their mouthwatering Champions League final clash with Real Madrid. Though it will likely infuriate Real Madrid, Jurgen Klopp has identified their main weakness ahead of Saturday's Champions League final. Los Blancos are the bookmaker's favourites but Liverpool aren't fazed by the champions of the last two years.

"Marcelo is a player who attacks a lot, but... he doesn't defend," Klopp said in an interview made by former Reds player Robbie Fowler. "But football is not as easy as saying: 'If Marcelo joins the attack on the right we leave Salah in that space,' because our player will then meet with Sergio Ramos."

The German coach also highlighted the great work that Real have done in this edition of the tournament. "They need four chances to score twice, and in the semi-finals Bayern needed eight to score one," he continued.

It's been said that Real have got lucky reaching their third final in a row, but that's not a view which Klopp subscribes to.

"Everyone says that Real Madrid had luck eliminating Juventus and Bayern, but it is the third year in a row that they are in a final, and the fourth in five years," he added. "We will do everything we can in the final and it will be decided in the decisive moments when the opportunity arises."
