The 33-year-old woman accused the Portugal international of raping her after they met at a Las Vegas club back in 2009. It was reported Ronaldo and Mayorga both reached an out of court settlement then, with Ronaldo paying the 33-year-old woman $375,000.
Reports gathered that the out of court settlement was agreed based on the condition that Kathryn will never speak of it again anymore. Speaking to reporters in Nevada, lawyer Leslie Stovall said the woman suffers depression and post-traumatic stress linked to the alleged incident, but was encouraged to launch legal action after seeing others do the same.
Nevertheless, the 33-year old woman legal team has now revealed in a statement that the Portuguese has been summoned.
According to one representative for Ms Mayorga, attorney Larissa Drohobyczer: “A summons has been issued and we have sent the summons and complaint for service upon Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Cristiano Ronaldo will have 20 days from the date of service of the lawsuit to answer our complaint in Kathryn Mayorga’s case.”

“The events allegedly dating back to almost 10 years ago do not change this opinion, which is shared by anyone who has come into contact with this great champions.”
Ronaldo is being sued by a woman in the US, who claims he sexually assaulted her in the penthouse suite of a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.
