Juventus legend, Alessandro Del Piero has also joined the group of former players and coaches to warn new Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo saying that he must find a way to beat Serie A’s defence after a poor start in the Italian topflight league.
Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid as their all-time highest goalscorer to join the Italian giants earlier this summer in a 100-million-euro deal.
The 33-year-old has failed to find the back of the net in the first three appearances of the Serie A campaign.
The Portuguese captain missed chances to score against Chievo, Lazio and Parma and hasn’t managed to get off the mark despite playing 90 minutes in each match.
Del Piero, who scored 290 goals in 705 appearances for Juve, insisted that Ronaldo must adapt to his new surroundings.
“In Italy we defend looking for the numerical superiority and it is complicated for a striker, Cristiano must know his new championship,” Del Piero told Sky Italia.
“Juve can be very happy: they have won all the games without Ronaldo’s goals or those of Dybala.
Ronaldo will hope to score his first competitive goal for the Juve when they battle Sassuolo at home on Sunday afternoon.
